The common point

What do you do if you have a week off?

My friend Linda had difficulty in planning because her family couldn’t agree on what to do for their vacation. Her son wanted a desert adventure. However, her daughter liked visiting ancient and historical sites. Also, her husband was fond of architecture. But she wanted to relax without thinking of doing chores and planning for everyone. They agreed on a trip but planning for a family trip can be a disaster. She was perplexed and didn’t know how to coordinate all these various wishes.

She called me to ask about my trip and I told her about “half the world”. So, we talked about a city called Isfahan which Iranians refer to as “half of the world”. She was so excited about this city and asked me to explain my one-week itinerary that I traveled with Iran tour operator to this multi-faceted country called Iran. I tell everyone and not just Linda, that week-long journey changed my life and became a lifelong treasure.
