Tour Description

We’ve designed this package in IranAmaze for those who would like to explore the wonders of Tehran during their limited time ascending the Damavand summit. The ascend schedule is designed from the safest and easiest summit approach. The ascend time and the acclimatization schedule is designed to ensure the highest ascend success rate for those with regular physical preparedness. We’ve scheduled one-night stay at the base camp and two nights of staying at camp 3. That ensures not only mountaineers enjoy more time being in nature but also making sure they acclimatize properly. The schedule to walk through the hidden gems of Tehran is right after the ascend. Therefore, it would bring travelers peace of mind and the joy of successfully conquering Damavand. For this part, we’ve scheduled for tourists to see three of the main attractions of Tehran, which include the Tabiat bridge, Golestan royal palace, and the big Bazaar. However, we are flexible to adjust and align the schedule for that day based on your personal preferences.

The 3rd day is the day to conquer the highest point in the middle east. We start the day at 5 am by drinking some tea with honey and lemon. The first part of the route has quite a steep slope, and the ascent route is straight up. Once we get to an icefall, the route will become a mountain stairway and continue with a decent slope to the summit. Around 11 am, we’d reach Iran’s highest point. The sulfur vapor coming out of the volcanic peak of Damavand might make it a bit difficult to breathe, but it won’t stop us jumping from joy of conquering the summit. It’s time to ingrain this image in our mind and our cameras forever with some magnificent photos.

Afterward, we’ll be sand skiing for about 3 hours to come back to camp 3. After having a delicious warm lunch, we’ll have the whole evening to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Damavand and celebrate our successful ascent. We’ll spend the night at the tents in camp 3 again.

We’ll be slowly descending with a peace of mind to the foothills of Damavand. On our way, the beautiful, diverse plant species will steal our attention. We’ll pass the dirt road with a 4WD again, but we won’t go straight back to Polur and Tehran. We’ll be heading to the natural hot springs of Damavand to soak in the calming warm water that will take away our exhaustion from the hike. After having lunch, we’ll be done with Damavand and head to Tehran to begin our exploration of its hidden gems.
